Stefano Venier’s artisanal journey began in 1992 when he started working for the Gelateria Dolcefreddo. Here he learned the job and he attended some professional training together with his manager.

In 2001 he seized the big opportunity to become part of the Italian National Team of Gelatieri and with them he won the 3rd place in the first edition of the Gelato World Cup in 2002. The pivotal moment for him was when his activity turned 10 and he opened Arte Dolce in Spilimbergo (PN), a gelato and pastry shop that he still manages. Here, he is free to explore his creativity and expand his skills in the creation of gelato, pastries and chocolate.

In the meantime, he works as witness of excellence for various pastry and gelato courses. Together with his colleagues, in 2007 he founded the Association “Maestros of Italian Gelato” and in 2012 he obtained the professional qualification as Specialised Gelato-Maker Maestro awarded by Umbria region as well as the qualification of judge “1st Step Sensorial Analysis”. Later, he started teaching History and Production techniques of Chocolate at the Italian School of Gelato. While in this context and under the patronage of Eurochocolate, Stefano and other Maestros attended a tasting event of Chocolate Gelato at the Expo 2015.

Moreover, Stefano is the founding member of the association “Etica del Gusto”, which includes some of the most meticulous pastry, gelato and chocolate maestros of Friuli. On top of his shop activity he is a consultant and a demonstrator for research and development of various companies of the industry.
