
Commercial engineer, journalist, and consultant specialized in artisanal gelato, with expertise in recipe development, administration, and operations. As a consultant, he has led menu restructurings, market research, and training sessions for various gelato shops in Chile and abroad, as well as developed custom gelatos for top restaurants in the V and Metropolitan regions.
Since 2017, he has consistently worked as a journalist specializing in gelato, pastry, and baking for the prestigious magazine Chef&Hotel, where he also contributes as a columnist.
As a promoter of artisanal gelato and inspired by the championships at SIGEP in Rimini, in 2018 he created the National Gelato Cup, an unprecedented tournament in Chilean gelato history that continues today. That same year, he also founded the country’s first gelato fair, Valpo Bajo Cero (now Chile Bajo Cero), aimed at promoting gelato culture and encouraging year-round consumption through industry collaboration.
In the same spirit, he participated in the research and content development of El Gelatero, the first TV show dedicated to artisanal gelato in Chile, hosted by Sebastián Lobos and aired on Channel 13C in 2023.
He also drafted the regulations for the new Gelato Tournament of the Chilean Gastronomy Association (ACHIGA) as part of the 34th National Gastronomy Competition and signed the request to the Ministry of Economy, Development, and Tourism for the creation of the Chilean National Gelato Day, to be celebrated every July 18 starting in 2024.
